Summary:
This essay discusses the advantage and disadvantage of e-recruiting and describes the holistic e-recruiting system. E-recruiting methods had been invented in the middle of 1990s when gave rise to the majority of companies adopted e-recruitment to recruit employees. Therefore, it can be found that e-recruiting can cost saving, efficiency, and convenience for both recruiters and jobseekers. The writer divides six categories into e-recruiting sources which are general-purpose job board, niche job board, e-recruiting application service providers, hybrid recruiting service providers, e-recruiting consortium, and corporate career web site. Yet, every category has the benefits and drawbacks of e-recruitment. In addition to this, e-recruiting systems have evolved through in the middle of 1990s. At first, the career website main capability was to post job vacancies which made jobseekers know about these information. Then e-recruiting system has gone through a little adjustment to have more functions which help e-recruiting systems development. The architecture for the holistic e-recruiting system comprises eight sections interrelated subsystems which are applicant tracking management subsystem, job requisition management subsystem, job agent management subsystem, prescreening /self-assessment management subsystem, e-recruiting performance analysis subsystem, candidate relationship management subsystem, workflow management subsystem, and database management subsystem.
Opinion:
In my opinion, I personally think that e-recruiting will replace traditional recruitment and the architecture for the holistic e-recruiting system will help e-recruiting develop framework perfect. In this essay, it is widely recognised that e-recruiting has a big impact on companies’ recruitment method. Companies conduct way has dramatically changed since e-business was be invented. E-recruiting is one of the most representative e-business revolutions which bring a big influence on recruitment. It is clear that cost saving, efficiency, and convenience are the most outstanding characters in e-recruiting. Besides, it can be seen that the six categories of e-recruiting sources have different advantages and disadvantages. However, these drawbacks will influence e-recruiting function, so designers should try to solve these problems. On the other hand, companies should find the suitable holistic e-recruiting system which is the most important thing; otherwise it will affect recruitment efficiency. At the present time, e-recruiting system has still some disadvantages but it will be a perfect system in the future.
