Some opponents of animal testing also claim that the results are not match with humans. Some drugs had to be withdrawn from market despite extensive testing. However, computer models are not advaned enough in today, and testing on plants is much less applicable to humans than tests on animals. Until we invent a better system, we must use animal testing for medical research. On the other hand, many people argue that animal testing is cruel. However it would be much crueller to test new drugs on women or children, or let people die becaure there was not successful research of new drugs. Furthermore, in most countires sets standards for animal treatment, PETA dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. It operates under the simple principle that not allow to eat, wear, or entertainment. Moreover, laboratories have guidelines to prevent cruelty.(www.peta.org)
Animal testing is needed in the whole world. I agree that we need to make sure that animals are used for testing new drugs have the minimum of suffering. However, I have convinced that animal testing is necessary, and that will continue to benefit humans in the near future.
